Historical Christmas market at the Wartburg in 2022

Experience Christmas from the perspective of the Reformer Martin Luther. In the courtyard of the Wartburg, you can experience a spectacle of an exceptional nature against a medieval backdrop. On the advent weekends of the year, the “historical Christmas market” can lead you into the world of historical trade and venerable, almost forgotten craftsmanship – candle makers, glass blowers, wardrobe mistresses, lantern manufacturers, soap boilers, stone masons, herb women, pewterers and itinerant tradesmen offer their goods for sale. Musicians, storytellers and puppeteers ensure amusing entertainment and fun – and this against the unique backdrop of the Wartburg in pre-Christmas Eisenach.
